MHT - CET

About

The MHT - CET or Common Entrance Test is an annual entrance exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. It is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education.

In 2013, the exam was scrapped and the admission to undergraduate engineering programmes (BE/BTech) was done on the basis of JEE Main. However, from 2016 onwards, the exam was started again after which the government assigned 50% weightage to Class 12 marks and 50% to CET scores, instead. From 2018, MHT - CET was mandatory for admissions in the state.
